Dispose of your hazardous waste the right way! The ECUA Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collections allow residents to bring HHW to a single location for environmentally-safe disposal. These are items that cannot be included in regular garbage pickups or brought to local dumps, including common household trash like antifreeze and gasoline, paint, cleaning solvents, and more.
Bring your HHW down to 99 West Bradford Avenue in Cedar Grove, NJ on Saturday, November 9th!
Below are some examples of acceptable and non-acceptable materials for this collection event:
-Acceptable Materials:
Pesticides & Herbicides, Darkroom/Photographic Chemicals, Driveway Sealer, Aerosol Spray Paints, Nicad/Rechargeable Batteries, Car Batteries, Automotive Fluids, Household Cleaning Fluids, Fire Extinguishers, Pool Chemicals, Products Containing Mercury, Gasoline/Kerosene, Oil-based Paints, Chemistry Sets, Propane Tanks, and Fluorescent Light Bulbs and Ballasts.
-The following materials will NOT be accepted:
Latex Paint, Regulated Medical Waste or Infectious Waste, Explosives or Reactive Materials, Unlabeled or Unidentified Materials, Commercial or Industrial Waste, Smoke Detectors & Carbon Monoxide Alarms, Asbestos, Empty Containers, Household Batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 9V) and Microwaves.
