Pre-meetings of the Municipal Council are typically scheduled the day before a regular meeting.
As established by ordinance, regular public meetings of the Municipal Council are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 12:30 p.m., and the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chamber in City Hall. Exceptions are made for national or religious holidays.
On holidays, all curbside collections are suspended unless explicitly noted otherwise by the City of Newark Department of Public Works. Collections will resume on your next regular collection day.
