The City of Newark Department of Public Works’ Division of Recycling is teaming up with Keep America Beautiful and other community organizations to host the “Slam Dunk the Junk” Clean Up on Thursday, October 9 in memory of the late Brenda Anderson, former Recycling Coordinator.
Get your clean team together!
Join us on October 9 for another “Slam Dunk the Junk” clean up! By doing your part, you will help build community, beautify Newark with clean streets, and inspire others to take care of the City.
Date: Thursday, October 9, 2025
Time: 9 AM to 1 PM. Check in starts at 8 AM.
Starting Location: 7 Lincoln Park, Newark, NJ 07102
Cleanup will occur in pre-approved locations, or you can choose your own! Cleaning supplies will be provided.
