Cleaner Streets, Stronger Wards — Summer 2025 Community Clean Ups Near You!

July 22, 2025 — Newark DPW will host a series of community cleanups this summer to prevent littering, beautify Newark neighborhoods, and engage residents in city cleanliness efforts.
Cleanups are scheduled every weekend in each ward from July 26 to August 24.
Click the button below to sign up for a community cleanup near you. All volunteers are welcome!
The current schedule is as follows:
1. North Ward: Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27 at 61 Verona Avenue, Newark, NJ
2. West Ward: Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3 at 244 South 12th Street, Newark, NJ 07107
3. East Ward: Saturday, August 9 and Sunday, August 10, location TBD
4. South Ward: Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17, location TBD
5. Central Ward: Saturday, August 23 and Sunday, August 24, location TBD
*Lunch will be served at 12 PM noon. Cleaning equipment will be provided.
