The City of Newark Department of Public Works is hosting the 24th Annual “Slam Dunk the Junk” Clean Up on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
After a successful summer of the 2026 Brick City Cleanups, Newark Public Works is hosting its 24th Annual “Slam Dunk the Junk” Clean Up on Thursday, October 1, 2026!
By doing your part, you will help build community, beautify Newark with clean streets, and inspire others to take care of our great city.
Date: Thursday, October 1, 2026
Time: 8:30 AM to 1 PM.
Starting Location: 7 Lincoln Park, Newark, NJ 07102
Cleanup will occur in pre-selected locations in the South Broad Street neighborhood. Cleaning supplies will be provided!
