Newark Public Works Opens Up New Service Centers for Mixed-Trash Collection

The Department of Public Works has officially opened its doors at four satellite locations throughout the City for mixed-trash collection.

To uphold our mission of providing around-the-clock public services, Newark Public Works service centers are open from Monday through Saturday, 7 AM – 3:30 PM for citywide trash drop-off. If residents missed their regular pick-up day or need to dispose of their
waste urgently, visiting a service center is always an option.

  1. Service Centers are located at the following addresses:
  2. 61 Verona Avenue (North Ward)
  3. 244 South 12th Street (West Ward)
  4. 99 Earl Street (South Ward)
    29 Waydell Street (East Ward)

A service center in the Central Ward is coming soon.

We collect the following items:

  • Household Trash
  • Recycling
  • Cardboard
  • Bulk Items
  • Mattresses
  • Yard Waste
